Sweet and Nutty Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 7 tablespoons (80 grams) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (4 grams) dried yeast
  • 1 cup (250 milliliters) warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups (500 grams) flour
  • 1 teaspoon (4 grams) salt

For the Filling:

  • ⅓ cup (80 grams) butter, melted
  • ½ cup (80 grams) sugar
  • Ground cinnamon (to taste)
  • 200 grams (½ cup) crushed walnuts

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 200 grams (about 1¼ cups) cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 50 grams (100 grams) powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    In a large bowl, mix 7 tablespoons of sugar with 1 teaspoon of dried yeast. Add 1 cup of lukewarm milk and let it sit until foamy. Stir in 1 egg and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Gradually add 2 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt. Knead the dough until smooth, then allow it to rise for 1 to 2 hours.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    Mix the melted butter with ½ cup of sugar, cinnamon, and the crushed walnuts.
  3. Shape the Dough:
    Roll out the dough and spread the filling evenly over it. Divide the dough into nine equal portions and shape as desired. Allow them to rise for 20 minutes.
  4. Bake:
